Elisabeth A. Vreeburg, Esq.

Elisabeth, better known as Elly, was the founding member of Vreeburg & Cattry PLLC. Before her untimely passing, Elly primarily practiced family law.  Elly had extensive experience in dealing with all aspects of matrimonial litigation from commencement of an action through appeals, including drafting of documents, motion practice and attending conferences, conducting trials and handling all aspects of appeals. 

Elly was admitted to practice in New York State for over forty years and was also admitted to practice in the United States Tax Court, United States District Courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts, the United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.  Elly was an active member of the legal community in Queens and was involved with the Queens County Bar Association, Queens County Women’s Bar Association and Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York holding leadership positions within each association.  Elly also served on the Grievance Committee for the Second and Eleventh Judicial Districts and was an arbitrator for matrimonial fee disputes. 

Following Elly’s passing, her partner, Ravi Cattry, took over the practice and continues supporting their clients in all aspects of matrimonial and family law.

Ravi started out her practice with Elly as an associate attorney and quickly grew to become a valued member of the practice and eventually became a partner of Vreeburg & Cattry PLLC in April 2021.

Ravi has been admitted to practice in New York State for over a decade and has experience in litigating all aspects of matrimonial litigation from commencement through appeals. She is also well versed in the drafting of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements to ensure the protection of assets before or after a wedding is celebrated.

Ravi is also admitted to practice in the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York; New Jersey; United States District Court of New Jersey; and the Supreme Court of the United States. Ravi is a trained mediator for matrimonial matters.

Ravi is also on the Part 36 list for court appointments where she has served as a guardian ad litem in Surrogate’s Court cases; receiver for foreclosure properties; and a referee for foreclosure sales.

Ravi is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi.

In her free time she enjoys reading, cooking and watching soccer!
